Canary looking for a new family…

Bio as per the owner/caretaker:

Tommy is a Red Factory Canary purchased from Pisces Emporium in Calgary AB on Feb 25th 2023. Due to the passing of the original order we are looking to rehome him to a bird loving home.

He is a male and loves to sing. His diet consist of fruitomax Serin/Canary. As well as Quiko special red egg food supplement. That give Tommy his red colour and is normally given once his molt begins in mid-summer and stops early fall. He also loves corn on the cob, Taber is his favourite. He eats the peas in a snap pea pod but doesn’t care for the shell. He also eats millet. His sweet treat are apples, Gala brand seems to be his favourite.

He lives in his cage with the doors open, except when going to bed. He will fly but go back to his cage to do his bathroom business. He will crash into uncovered windows, if you have blinds he will sometimes sit on them and look outside.

His nails can get long and require trimming. Once caught he will go motionless and you can easily clip the longer nails with regular clippers. An aviary vet can do this also.

He’s is a very sweet bird and will interact with you if you talk to him, he hasn’t stepping up in to a hand yet.

There is an adoption fee which we can discuss – I would like him to go to a loving home that can continue to provide him with the lifestyle he is custom too, or better!

He will come with his full cage and all accessories inside.
