Adopted Parrots

8 Yr old conure looking for a new family – ADOPTED

This DNA male is looking for a new family – he is NOT a Birdline bird and the bio provided below is from his current owner. Please contact her at the email listed for further information.

The cage he currently has is 19.5 x 19.5 x 26 inches (area he lives in, cage is taller with built on stand/wheels and play top on cage). He would be going home with all of his toys, food, treats, and supplements. His hatch day is July 15th, 2015.

When I got him, he did have a DNA certificate to verify he is male, although it appears to have been misplaced. I have had him since he was almost three from a kijiji rehoming situation. He is an anxious bird that requires lots of patience and is insecure with his flying ability. He loves being around his people but not necessarily in the centre of it.

He loves bells and cat-ball toys that jingle. He hasn’t been introduced to other birds in my care but may benefit in a household with other birds to at least talk to throughout the day. Would do best in a home with experience with anxious birds.

He is picky when it comes to veggies, but responds well to a veggie powder being put on top of his favorite foods (carrots, grapes, apples, etc) and reliably eats spinach. Does best on the Harrison parrot pellets and 1-2 teaspoons of a conure seed mix daily. His favorite treats are almonds, sunflower seeds, pine nuts, and dried banana chips. He knows a few phrases but isn’t great at talking. He will also be going home with his UVA and UVB light set up, and anything else I have that the owners may want/need.
